LAW-B 588: STRATEGIES IN CRITICAL READING & WRITING: THE LETTER & LITERATURE OF FAMILY LAW (3 credits)

About

Course emphasizes skills and techniques of analysis and evaluation, both in reading and in writing. We'll read a survey of the black-letter law and sample a wide range of other readings, from court documents to the scholarly literature. Students may well choose to take the course largely as a general introduction to Family Law. But this course offers such an introduction that is neither as substantively comprehensive nor as pedagogically conventional as that offered in the other sections of the introductory Family Law course at our school.
