About

Historians don't collect facts. They analyze them to understand how different viewpoints arise, and work, and how to use information to solve problems. In history classes at IU East, you learn about these differences and processes. You learn how to locate, evaluate, and use the information necessary to explain them. And you practice the techniques of critical thinking and clear communication necessary to persuade others to consider your interpretation. Finding good, reliable information, analyzing it, and then using it to solve problems—these are the skills that are much in demand by employers.
