Public Safety Management
About
Protecting the public is not just a career; it's a calling. O'Neill's Public Safety Management major gives you a well-rounded understanding of both public safety theory and the skills and services used to save lives.
As part of your coursework, you'll study a wide range of topics, including administration of emergency services, principles of public safety, the art of decision-making, terrorism, public policy, and much more.
Plus, you'll learn from faculty who are researching public safety issues—such as police body-worn cameras—and those who bring public safety experience from the field to the classroom.
The Public Safety Management major is part of O'Neill's Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice program, which allows you to add complementary minors such as management and civic leadership, psychology, sociology, and more.
