A Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy can prepare you for careers that require clear thinking and strong analytical skills, such as law, medicine, journalism, teaching, and more, along with work in corporations, government, and nonprofits.
This program can also help you excel when taking standardized testing (GRE, MCAT, LAST) when competing for admission to graduate school.
As a philosophy major, you will be acquainted with the most important developments in the history of ideas. Courses emphasize clear and cogent thinking about fundamental problems, locating the origins of these problems in the writings of great philosophers and providing in-depth examinations or proposed solutions.
