Master of Music

About

The Master of Music degree is intended for students holding a bachelor's degree in music (B.A., B.M., B.M.E., etc.). It combines a high level of performance study with coursework that emphasizes academic research.

Placement tests and a writing sample are required.

A student with a bachelor's degree in a non-music field may become a candidate for the Master of Music degree by demonstrating competence in performance in an academic music subject at the appropriate level or by completing additional undergraduate music courses, performance or academic, that may be required by the music faculty.
