A Bachelor of Arts in German can lead you to a deeper appreciation of both the practical details of the language and the rich cultural heritage of Germany and other German-speaking countries.

German is the language of many of history's most renowned philosophers, authors, and composers, including Nietzsche, Kafka, and Mozart.

The German program at IU Southeast collaborates with the German faculty at IU South Bend to offer a broad range of courses in language, culture, literature, and film, offering you a thorough introduction to the German-speaking world.

A Bachelor of Arts in German requires a minimum of 120 credit hours and a minimum of 30 credit hours of upper-level coursework (300-level or above).
