The arts of China from Neolithic times through the T'ang dynasty (618-906 A.D.): prehistoric ceramics, ritual bronzes, jades, animal sculpture, Buddhist art, and early pictorial art. Particular attention will be discussed in the context of the development of Chinese culture and civilization.
