Advanced graduate-level course focuses on the applications of molecular genetics and recombinant DNA in biotechnology. Fundamental concepts of relevant molecular biology and biochemistry will be covered in depth in the first portion of the class, followed by sections on recombinant DNA technology, macromolecular purification and genomics/bioinformatics.
