This course will cover strategic issues in the management of commercial and investement banks. Topics covered include the design of financial contracts, the design of loan covenants, credit analysis, credit rationing, debt renegotiation, contingent claims (including loan commitments, letters of credit and swaps), securitization, underwriting, initial public offerings (IPOs), and financial innovation. The course builds on the concepts presented in teh prerequisite course, F505 Financial Intermediation.
