BUS-F 520: ASSET VALUATION AND STRATEGY (1 - 6 credit)

An introduction to the basic theories for valuing equity, fixed income, and derivative securities. Covered in the equipty arena are the Capital Asset Pricing Model, Index Models, Arbitrage Pricing Theory, and empirical tests of these models. The price/yield relationship and term structure of interest rates are discussed in the fixed income portion of the course. Option and forward pricing models and basic risk management techniques also are presented.
