This advanced Greek language class gives students time to practice translation skills while also learning about Greco-Roman culture during the Imperial period (1st cent. BCE to 3rd cent. CE). Authors assigned include Plutarch, Lucian, Longinus and other literary critics, Philostratus, orators of the Second Sophistic, and other imperial Greek writers.
