Traditional Chinese women were mothers, daughters, wives, concubines, courtesans, palace ladies, and religious figures with diverse voices but their life stories have often ignored. By examining their own accounts, the course explores otherwise missing pictures of traditional Chinese literary, social, and cultural history.
