This course covers nano/micro design and fabrication, actuators, sensors, microfluidics, implanted devices, lab-on-a-chip devices, drug delivery systems, detection and measurement systems, and their biomedical applications relevant for clinical medicine, food safety, environmental health, and homeland security. The discussions and projects are designed to address practical problems with engineering solutions.
