Will investigate the field of folklore and health systems from an ethnographic and phenomenological perspective focusing on cross-cultural issues in health care including: lay health belief, biomedical models; negotiation and trans-cultural health care; systems theory; contrasting definitions of health, illness, reportable symptoms and incapacity; notion of disease processes and aetiology.
