LAW-B 570: FUNDAMENTALS OF U.S. CONSTITUTIONAL LAW (1 - 4 credit)

About

Constitutional law dominates American life from foreign policy and regulation of business to the daily duties of police officers on the beat. This course will survey contemporary and historical standards under the U.S. Constitution for federalism, separation of powers, and individual rights for lawyers trained outside the United States. Special emphasis will be placed on the pre-Civil War, Civil War to 1937, and modern periods of Constitutional law and American legal thought, as well as on contemporaneous events in American history.
