Iteration of mappings, flows. Topological, smooth, measure-theoretic, and symbolic dynamics. Recurrence and chaos. Ergodic theory, spectral theory, notions of entropy. Low-dimensional phenomena; hyperbolicity; structural stability and rigidity. Applications to number theory, data storage, internet search and Ramsey theory.
