This Arabic course is about contemporary Arab issues through Cinema. The students will explore the cultural, religious, and socio-political contexts of different movies from different Arab countries. The course focuses on seven major themes: Patriarchy and social change, Women's voices and experiences; Immigration and identity, Minority experiences; corruption, Arab spring.
