This course will introduce students to Middle Egyptian, the language of ancient Egypt as spoken and written during the Middle and Early New Kingdom, or c. 2000 - 1300 BCE. Students will learn the fundamentals of the hieroglyphic script, master basic grammatical concepts, and read and write simple sentences.
