This is primarily a reading and translation course (with extensive review of classical grammar) on ulum al-hadith - the hadith sciences. It will introduce students to the principal terminologies and concepts used by hadith specialists in their analysis of the statements of the Prophet Muhammad and in evaluating their reliability.
