Examination and evaluation of various aspects, periods, and manifestations of medieval civilization. Student will be interdisciplinary, focusing on such subjects as Jews, Moslems, and Christians in the Middle Ages; the Carolingian Renaissance; multicultural Provence and its diaspora.
