OPT-V 642: GENERAL PHARMACOLOGY (3 credits)

About

Focus on systemic pharmacology and the molecular mechanisms of therapeutic drugs for systemic diseases. For each drug category, the following are addressed: mechanisms of action, therapeutic effects, routes of administration, pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, side effects, adverse effects, idiosyncratic reactions, and contraindications. Combination therapy and options for main co-morbid conditions also addressed.
