This course is designed to provide a general overview of hazardous materials management including history; regulations; basic chemistry; hazardous properties of chemical, biological, and radioactive substances; hazard classifications; hazard controls; personal protection; safe storage; handling; transportation; plus an introduction to hazardous waste; environmental sampling and remediation.
