SPEA-E 540: WETLANDS ECOLOGY AND MANAGEMENT (4 credits)

This course focuses on structural and functional characteristics of wetlands and their importance as a natural resource to society. Topics include characteristics to identify and classify wetlands, adaptations for living in wetlands, community structure, ecosystem processes, functions and values. Management of wetlands includes jurisdictional delineation, wetland assessment, and hydrogeomorphic assessment.
