This course provides an overview of the management, economic and policy issues facing the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical device industries. It also covers legal issues in hospital and other provider sectors as a secondary focus. Topics include R+D regulations, FDA approval, biotechnology, mergers and acquisitions, manufacturing and liability.
