Introduces research on the nature of co-occurring health disorders with focus on the nature of co-occurring substance use and mental health disorders utilizing epidemiological resources and clinical literature. Topics include etiology, prevalence, and risk factors; sociocultural and historical influences; diagnosis and treatment; and national policy and practice.
