This course is designed as a foundation for medical terminology. Students will learn medical root words, prefixes, combining forms, and suffixes. Basic medical language skills including correct pronunciation and spelling of medical words will be addressed. Students will learn commonly used abbreviations, acronyms, diagnostic and laboratory tests.
