This course helps students build a theoretical foundation for community practice and competencies needed to promote social change and mitigate socio-political and economic injustice. The course orientation is primarily based on sociological theories, the ecological and strengths perspectives and concepts of conflict, power, empowerment, corporate domination, global interconnections, and advocacy.
