BUSG-M 500: UNDERSTANDING CONSUMER HEALTH BEHAVIOR (1 - 6 credit)

About

Develops an understanding of how consumers make health-related choices and how this knowledge can help healthcare leaders make better decisions, improve patient outcomes, and increase revenues. Explores how consumer-behavior knowledge can guide efforts to increase patient engagement, patient adherence to treatment regimens, and patient adoption of healthier lifestyles (e.g., smoking cessation, healthier diets, exercise). These efforts will become increasingly important as reimbursements are more frequently tied to patient outcomes.
