Introduction to knowledge representation and inference: predicate calculus, frames, semantic networks, and connectionist representation schemes. Pattern recognition and pattern association. Computer vision. Natural language processing: speech recognition, syntax, and semantics. Heuristic search. Extensive laboratory exercises.
