HER-H 205: INTRODUCTION TO CONTEMPORARY ART (3 credits)

About

This course is a survey of 20th and 21st century art from the 1950s into the second decade of the 21st century. Students will encounter works organized by form and type (e.g. Minimalism), political intent (e.g. feminism), artist (e.g. Robert Rauschenberg) and period. Many topics are organized thematically rather than strictly chronologically.
