About
This course is designed to introduce students to career counseling theories as they apply to the field of art therapy, processes and applied techniques. Current assessment and counseling methods will be examined in a context related to art therapy philosophy, along with the ways in which developmental, ethnic, and cultural factors influence the processes and outcomes of career counseling as applied to the practice of art therapy. Special attention will be paid to "right-brained" strategies for breaking through resistance to and increasing client investment in career counseling.
