Students' knowledge of the physiology, pharmacology, and pathophysiology of the respiratory and renal systems will enable them to describe the major diseases of these systems, including their clinical manifestations, pathologic abnormalities, and clinical laboratory characteristics, and rationale for current therapeutic interventions.
