This course provides an introduction to the principles and practice of genetic counseling. Topics include clinical genetics evaluation and documentation, pedigree drawing and risk assessment, ordering genetic testing, preparation of a pediatric genetic counseling session, exploration of genetic counseling subspecialties, and review of disability rights laws and community resources.
