Second degree nursing students integrate knowledge and skills acquired: critical thinking, information technology, cultural competence, care coordination, leadership, collaboration, and communication skills. Students demonstrate competence in evidence-based practice and quality and safety initiatives, as achieved in a complex and changing healthcare environment. Students begin the transition to professional practice.
