This course examines pharmacotherapeutic concepts across broad pharmacologic agent categories. Pharmacogenetics/genomics and lifespan physiologic changes impacting pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics are synthesized. The content prepares the advanced practice nurse to safely manage common health problems by prescribing appropriate therapeutic regimens, including agents and/or devices, according to applicable laws, codes, and regulations.
