PBHL-E 333: BUZZED AND STONED: THE EPIDEMIOLOGY OF SUBSTANCE ABUSE (3 credits)

This course introduces public health substance abuse research. Students use epidemiological tools to study distribution of drug use; discuss contributing social-behavioral factors, health behavior theories and models; and review drug-control policies. Students learn key principles of substance abuse and addiction and discuss effects of the primary drugs of abuse.
