PBHL-E 609: INFECTIOUS DISEASE EPIDEMIOLOGY (3 credits)

About

This course is designed to provide a basic overview of the infectious disease process, including disease agents, transmission routes, immunity and public health significance. The course introduces principles of infectious disease epidemiology, including outbreak investigation and surveillance, using care studies as example. Concepts on globalization of disease, microbial ecology, and disease eradication also are discussed.
