This course is designed to examine both the sociological and anthropological theory/research in tourism. By learning the first generation of participating anthropological and sociological researchers of tourism, students will get a better understanding of the socio-cultural (including disciplinary and theoretical) context associated with tourism researcher' discovery, the developing study of tourism, and the development processes involved.
