HIST-A 375: CRIME AND PUNISHMENT IN AMERICAN HISTORY (3 credits)

This upper-division course focuses on the history of crime and punishment in the 20th century United States. It will consider changes in the law, court room procedures, and correctional practices. Students will focus on Three famous case studies in order to consider the extent to which race, ethnicity, gender or age may influence the treatment of accused criminals.
