About

Under the advisement of a faculty member and supervision of an assigned specialist at the placement site, the student will work or otherwise actively participate in the related setting. This is a variable credit course. One credit hour will consist of 40 hours of participation in activities associated with an assigned internship in Health Sciences. This is a generic internship and may be used for a variety of internships related to the Division of Allied Health Sciences. This may include, but limited to Health Wellness, Promotions, Education, Nutrition and Fitness related activities. The student will participate for a minimum of 40 hours (1 credit) to a maximum of 240 hours (6 credits) for a facility deemed to be an appropriate facility to conduct an internship to gain experience in an area of mutual interest to the intern and the facility. Variable units may be earned in any one semester.
