NURS-B 220: PROFESSIONAL NURSING AND HEALTH CARE (4 credits)

About

An overview of the foundations, complexity, and interdisciplinary nature of professional nursing practice. this course introduces students to the roles of the professional nurse and other members of the health care team, and to the systems in which care is delivered. Students with learn communication skills necessary for the practice of nursing including self-awareness, teaching and learning, interpersonal and inter-professional communication and collaboration. Students are introduced to concepts of scope of practice, ethics, leadership, and professionalism in preparation for practice.
