Biomarkers can be used to minimize the risks associated with the common practice of blood transfusion and blood banking, technically defined as immunohematology. This course covers both the conventional concepts and practices of antigen/antibody utilization in the blood bank and advanced discussions of the blood bank in transfusion medicine.
