HSC-S 311: STRENGTH AND CONDITIONING METHODS (3 credits)

This course focuses on the principles of physical conditioning, with emphasis on teaching and assessing correct technique in all areas of physical fitness, specifically focusing on resistance training. This course focuses on progressive resistance exercise and its application in physical conditioning. Topics covered will include basic muscle physiology, kinesiology, musculoskeletal adaptation to resistance exercise, modes of training, muscle-specific exercises, and exercise technique.
