This course expands on the concepts learned in BUS-P 301 - Operations Management, and describes the use of planning and control systems to manage material flows and capacities in operations. Topics covered include demand management, forecasting, sales and operations planning, master production scheduling, material requirements planning, capacity management, production activity control, and inventory management. Operations planning and control is an integrative function in business that is critical in linking the planning activities in many areas of business, including marketing, operations, finance, and human resources, etc.
