This course covers a number of techniques for using underlying patterns and relationships in historical data to project the data into the future. These techniques include smoothing methods, regression analysis, time series decomposition and Box-Jenkins methodology. Extensive use is made of computer programs to aid in data analysis and the calculation of the forecasts.
