Bachelor of Science in Intelligent Systems Engineering

About

Our Bachelor of Science in Intelligent Systems Engineering teaches students to create systems that sense and react to their environments.

Using hands-on teaching and collaborative projects, students learn to develop the next generation of solutions powered by computing and artificial intelligence by gathering, interpreting, and using data. The program combines intensive engineering and computing study with a liberal arts foundation.

Students select from one of four concentrations—bioengineering (with an optional pre-med track), computer engineering, cyber-physical systems, or molecular and nanoscale engineering—that allow them to shape their degree to a focused area of interest.

As the first-ever engineering degree offered at IU, the ISE program provides the opportunity to build what engineering will be instead of relying on traditions of the past.
