About

The Accelerated Master's Program (AMP) in Modern German Culture allows qualified students to begin graduate studies in modern German culture while pursuing an undergraduate degree. With appropriate planning, you can graduate with both a bachelor's and a master's degree in about five years.

Modern German culture offers a full curriculum including German language, linguistics, literature, and culture as well as courses in Dutch, Yiddish, and Norwegian. Faculty members teach at all levels, class sizes are moderate to small, and there are many opportunities for direct student-faculty contact.

The M.A. in Modern German Culture prepares you for careers in both the private and the public sectors. Advanced competence in the language, history, and culture of German-speaking Europe makes graduates highly competitive for employment in the global economy, green technology, teaching, and the military or foreign service. It is also ideal preparation for advanced degrees in international law or schools of public policy and business.
