The Accelerated Master's Program (AMP) in Political Science allows motivated students to earn a bachelor's degree and a master's degree in five years or less. Students take master's courses early while finishing their bachelor's degree and then finish their remaining master's courses as graduate students.
Our political science program is multifaceted and multidisciplinary. All our faculty strive to integrate theory and practice to advance our knowledge of politics. Political science is, at its core, the study of power: how it is allocated, who exercises it, and how we can safeguard against its abuse. In today's rapid-paced, hyper-partisan environment, the insights of political science are increasing in importance along with the complexity of political issues.
The department is dedicated to helping students secure jobs post-graduation in academia, the government, and the private sector.
Graduates pursue careers in government service, NGOs and nonprofit agencies, law, business, journalism, politics, public policy analysis, and education.
