Our residential Master of Science in Data Science provides the foundational knowledge students need to lay the groundwork for a lifelong career in the fastest-growing field in technology. Students learn an interdisciplinary approach to data science while working with scholars and experts to solve some of today's biggest challenges.
Centered on core competencies in key areas, including programming, statistics, data analytics, machine learning, data wrangling, data visualization, communication, business foundations, and ethics, the M.S. in Data Science program gives students the skills needed increase their marketability in any industry. Four tracks—applied data science, Big Data systems, computational and analytical, and managerial data science—allow students to focus their knowledge while studying real-world problems that impact local and global communities.
Graduates of our program go on to careers with companies such as Amazon, Cummins, IBM, and a host of others, and they earn an average starting salary of nearly $104,000.
