The Indiana University Master of Arts (M.A.) in mental health counseling program at IUPUC is preparing the region's next generation of professionals with the knowledge, skills, and values to deliver effective, ethical counseling services.
The only graduate-level counseling program at a public university in southeastern Indiana, this 60-credit curriculum will prepare you for a career as a licensed mental health counselor. The program emphasizes a developmental, preventive, and community-based approach to understanding and generating solutions to the natural stress of basic problems of living—whether in employment, relationships, or as a member of a family, group, or community.
You can take classes in our M.A. in mental health counseling program as a full-time or part-time student.
